How to care for blonde hair.

Being a blonde is fun but keeping your blonde healthy requires some commitment. I want to share some of my go-to’s for maintaining my blonde at home.

Redken Acidic Bonding

Helps with breakage.

It comes as a set with a shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in treatment. This is my go to when trying to prevent breakage on compromised, damaged or weak hair. Have you ever felt like your hair just isn't growing? This can be a sign that it's breaking often enough that it's not actually gaining any length. This stuff helps prevent the strand from breaking in the first place. And personally, this stuff is better than Olaplex, sorry if you love the stuff, but this acidic bonding is much better on the hair.

Davines Circle Chronicles

Deep Conditioning Treatment

These treatment packets are a godsend. I like to use it every two weeks when my hair feels thirsty. They have a screw on cap so you don't feel pressure to use the whole thing and a little goes a long way. I leave it on my hair for about 5 minutes while I shave my legs or something. I won't condition if I use this in the shower as it's conditioning enough. Focus on the mids and ends. It smells good too.

Davines Shades of Glass - Purple Shampoo

Ok if you're going to use a purple shampoo, take some time to consider what you’re buying. So many purple shampoos are filled with hydrogen peroxide which lifts your blonde and roughs your cuticle AND deposits that G  R O S S gray cast. If you want to look expensive without having to come to the salon to get toned then buy this stuff. It gives a healthy cool iridescent tone to blondes. It's packed with shine and moisture. You can use it daily if you wanted to.

Choose your hair accessories wisely.

Dont let your hair tie be the culprit of your breakage. Claw clips, and soft hair bands make a huge difference in the amount of tension you’re applying to your hair.
